Song of the Moment.

Every once in a while, a song comes along that just strikes you. Stops you dead in your tracks. This for me, is that song. I was listening to Radio1 last night. Zane Lowe’s show had just started, and every so often he stops talking for long enough to deliver something truly special. Music that you can feel as it courses through your veins. Having never been massively interested in Paolo Nutini’s music, I was surprised by this. It’s straight up soul. Musically it’s tight and the vocals just compliment each note beautifully. Even the little spoken interruption mid-song by Charlie Chaplin, just fits. This is about as close to perfect as modern music gets.
